Triple-Active Liquid Horse Wormer

Applemax Triple is an apple-flavoured, low-volume liquid horse wormer combining oxibendazole, praziquantel and ivermectin for broad-spectrum control of susceptible internal and external parasites.

Designed for foals, adult horses, pregnant and lactating mares and breeding stallions, it carries label claims for the treatment and control of benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles and ivermectin-resistant Parascaris equorum, making it a useful option within a planned parasite-control program.

Supplied with a dosing syringe – only 12 mL is required for a 600 kg horse.

Broad-Spectrum Parasite Control

• Roundworms
• Small strongyles, including specified benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles
• Parascaris equorum, including specified ivermectin-resistant populations
• Arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris

• Cutaneous larvae of Habronema spp. associated with summer sores

Particularly Useful for Foals

Applemax Triple is labelled for use in foals and is particularly useful where treatment of susceptible ivermectin-resistant Parascaris equorum is required. Young horses can carry significant ascarid burdens, making a planned parasite-control program important during growth.

Easy Administration

Apple flavoured for palatability, the concentrated liquid means only a small volume is needed. The included dosing syringe deposits the dose towards the back of the tongue, helping reduce the likelihood of the horse spitting it out.

Active Constituents

Each mL contains:

• Oxibendazole 200 mg/mL
• Praziquantel 50 mg/mL
• Ivermectin 4 mg/mL

Directions

Dose accurately according to bodyweight as directed on the current product label (12 mL for a 600 kg horse). Accurate bodyweight estimation and administration of the complete dose are important for effective parasite control and resistance management. If the whole container is not used, replace the cap and store as directed on the label; the remaining product may be used until its expiry date provided it has been stored correctly.

Smarter Parasite Control

Effective parasite management should not rely solely on routine worming or automatically rotating brands. Where appropriate, incorporate faecal egg count (FEC) testing, accurate bodyweight-based dosing, pasture management and veterinary advice to help determine when treatment is required and reduce selection pressure for resistance.
