Stance Essentials Biotin Extra Strength is a concentrated biotin supplement providing 1000mg/kg of Biotin, formulated for horses requiring additional nutritional support for hoof quality, integrity and healthy hoof growth.

Biotin supplementation has been shown to support hoof quality in horses with poor or compromised hooves when provided consistently over an extended period. As the hoof grows slowly, supplementation should be considered a long-term nutritional program, with best results generally requiring continued use for 6–12 months or longer.

Long-Term Supplementation is Key

Hooves grow slowly, so changes in hoof quality cannot be expected immediately.

For horses with poor hoof quality, biotin should generally be fed consistently for at least 6–12 months to allow newly formed hoof material time to grow down from the coronary band.

Regular farrier care and an appropriately balanced overall diet remain important alongside supplementation.

Feeding Guide

Introduce gradually into the diet over approximately two weeks.

Add to the daily feed and, where possible, divide the total daily amount between morning and evening feeds.

For a 500kg horse:

Morning Feed: ½–1½ scoops (5–15g)
Evening Feed: ½–1½ scoops (5–15g)

Adjust according to the manufacturer's feeding recommendations for the individual horse.
