Wipe-On Permethrin Insecticide for Horses
Brute Insecticide for Horses gives residual control of susceptible buffalo fly, stable fly, house fly and sandfly or biting midges (Culicoides spp.), the causal agents of Queensland Itch.
Designed for horses affected by biting and nuisance flies and horses prone to Queensland Itch, it is applied with the Brute Wipe-on Applicator Mitt.
Supplied in a 500 mL bottle with a convenient 25 mL measuring chamber on top. One bottle treats 16 to 27 horses for biting and nuisance flies, depending on liveweight.

Active Constituent
Permethrin 87 g/L (25:75 cis:trans).
Directions
- For dirty horses, shampoo and rinse thoroughly first.
- Wear the protective Brute Applicator Mitt when applying.
- Shake well before use. Loosen the cap and squeeze the bottle to fill the measuring chamber with the required dose. Remove the cap and apply to the Applicator Mitt.
- Apply 3 to 6 mL per 100 kg bodyweight depending on targeted pests, up to a maximum of 30 mL per animal.
- Apply a whole-body wipe when fly numbers exceed acceptable levels. For the first application with a new mitt, apply twice the dose to charge the mitt.
- Pay special attention to where pests congregate, including the face, taking care not to get product in the eyes.

Restraints
- NOT TO BE USED on horses that may be slaughtered for human consumption.
- Do not treat foals under 12 weeks of age.
- Do not apply more than 30 mL per animal.
