Chamomile Organic Fine Cut Flower

Chamomile Organic Fine Cut Flower

Organic Calming & Digestive Herb

Country Park Herbs Chamomile Organic Fine Cut Flower is a traditional herb most noted for its calming, relaxing effects on both the digestion and the nerves.

Designed for the tense, restless horse prone to nervous colic and scouring, chamomile has an affinity for relieving digestive tract and organ spasm and discomfort, more so than the muscle aches associated with physical exertion.

The small, daisy-like flowers were called "Ground Apple" by the ancient Greeks because of their smell, and bunches of chamomile were once hung in stables to deter flies.

A Wide Range of Actions

Chamomile is well documented as having anti-inflammatory activity and contains a number of antihistamine compounds that may help reduce allergic responses. It is recognised as ulcer-protective through its healing effect on the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract, and is mildly antimicrobial, helping the body resist pathogenic micro-organisms. Its calcium phosphate content supports the skeletal structure.

  • Antispasmodic

Complete Calming Support

Gentle and versatile, organic chamomile offers natural support for the nervous, digestively sensitive horse.

Occasional hypersensitivity reactions have been observed in people allergic to members of the ragweed family, although this is extremely rare. Herbs can affect racing and competition swabs, so confirm detection times with your veterinarian. Consult your veterinarian before treating any illness, or if your horse is unwell, pregnant or on other treatment.
