Important: Measure the VyLyte concentrate first, then add fresh water until the required final volume is reached.

Foals

For foals experiencing scouring or dehydration:

Give 1–2 litres of freshly diluted VyLyte, 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Foals can deteriorate rapidly when experiencing diarrhoea or dehydration. Veterinary advice should be sought promptly, particularly for young, weak or systemically unwell foals.

Calves

Bought-In Calves

At the first feed following arrival:

  • Give 2L of diluted VyLyte instead of milk.
  • At the following feed, provide 1L of diluted VyLyte.
  • Do not mix VyLyte with milk or milk replacer.
  • Return to the normal feeding program following application.

Scouring Calves

Give 1–1.5L of diluted VyLyte per 10kg bodyweight daily, divided between two or more doses.

Where significant fluid loss has occurred, the daily quantity may be divided across 3–4 separate doses according to label directions and veterinary advice.

Continue normal milk feeding during periods of scouring to help maintain nutrient and energy intake. Provide diluted VyLyte between milk feeds.

Piglets & Pigs

Suckling Piglets

A litter of approximately one-week-old piglets may consume around 2–3L per day.

Ensure diluted VyLyte, clean drinking water or sow's milk remains available.

Check the quantity of diluted solution approximately every 12 hours and replenish as required.

Where direct administration is required, give:

20–30mL of diluted VyLyte, 3–4 times daily, using an appropriate applicator.

Weaned Pigs

According to the supplied label directions, feed intake may be limited for 1–2 days while maintaining unrestricted access to drinking water.

As a guide, weaners may consume approximately 1–2L of diluted VyLyte per animal per day.

Diluted VyLyte may be provided for 4 days. Where scouring persists, label directions allow use for up to 8 days in total.

Persistent diarrhoea requires veterinary investigation.

Scouring Lambs & Kids

Give:

150–200mL of freshly diluted VyLyte, 2–4 times daily.

Warm the prepared solution to approximately body temperature and administer using a suitable feeding bottle and teat.

Pregnancy Toxaemia – Ewes & Goats

According to the supplied directions:

Give 160mL of UNDILUTED VyLyte per animal using an appropriate drench gun.

Repeat every 4–6 hours if required, or as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Pregnancy toxaemia is a serious metabolic condition and requires veterinary attention. VyLyte should be used according to the registered label and veterinary guidance and should not delay appropriate treatment.

Dogs & Cats

VyLyte is suitable for dogs and cats requiring fluid and electrolyte support according to the manufacturer's specific dosage guide.

Because fluid requirements vary considerably according to bodyweight, age, degree of dehydration and underlying illness, follow the current Dogs & Cats Dosage Guide or veterinary directions when administering VyLyte.

Dogs and cats experiencing vomiting, diarrhoea, suspected viral disease, weakness or dehydration should receive veterinary assessment, particularly if young, elderly or significantly unwell.

Fresh Water & Storage of Prepared Solution

Always ensure clean, fresh drinking water is available while using Vetsense VyLyte.

Prepared VyLyte solution should be:

  • Made using fresh, clean water
  • Kept in a clean drinking vessel
  • Discarded after 24 hours
  • Replaced with freshly prepared solution every day

Withholding Period

Nil – 0 Days

Always confirm current withholding requirements on the product label before use.

Important Information

For animal treatment only.

Provide diluted Vetsense VyLyte at the first signs of nutritional scouring to assist in replacing lost fluids and electrolytes.

Diarrhoea and dehydration can be symptoms of infectious disease, parasitism, dietary problems or other underlying conditions. Electrolyte replacement provides supportive care but does not necessarily treat the underlying cause.

Seek veterinary advice when treating sick or debilitated animals or where diarrhoea, dehydration, weakness or other clinical signs are persistent or severe.

Vetsense VyLyte provides a convenient, multi-species source of fluids, electrolytes and readily available energy to support hydration and recovery when animals need it most.
