Coforta 100 Injectable combines butaphosphan and vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) to support energy metabolism, recovery and general wellbeing in performance horses.

Designed for horses facing the demands of training, racing, strenuous exercise, recovery, illness or reduced appetite, under appropriate veterinary guidance. Coforta has long been used in the management of performance horses.

Supplied in a 100 mL vial for intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection.

Butaphosphan – Organic Phosphorus

Butaphosphan is an organic phosphorus compound providing a readily available source of phosphorus. Phosphorus forms part of high-energy compounds including ATP and ADP, which store and transfer energy throughout the body – pathways that are particularly important in hardworking skeletal muscle.

Vitamin B12 Support

Cyanocobalamin is an essential vitamin involved in normal cellular metabolism and red blood cell formation, particularly relevant during periods of increased nutritional or metabolic demand.

Appetite & General Condition

Hard work, travel, illness, surgery or recovery can be accompanied by changes in appetite and condition. Coforta may be used as part of a broader veterinary management program during these periods.

Directions

Administer by intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection; may be given daily where required. Dose according to the current product label or as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Coforta should not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment; horses with persistent fatigue, poor appetite, prolonged recovery, weight loss or unexplained poor performance should be assessed by a veterinarian. Injections should only be given as directed by a veterinarian or by an experienced person using sterile equipment. Check the label for withholding periods, and for racing or competition horses confirm detection times with your veterinarian. Do not use in animals with known sensitivity to any ingredient.
