The Equilox I Stubbie Cartridge delivers the proven performance of Equilox hoof repair adhesive in a compact 150 mL cartridge, ideal for smaller jobs while helping minimise waste.

Designed for hoof repair, reconstruction and glue-on shoeing, particularly when a full-size cartridge isn't required.

Strong Yet Workable

Once fully cured, Equilox provides excellent tensile strength while retaining enough flexibility to be shaped. The cured material can be rasped, filed, trimmed and nailed, allowing the farrier to finish the repair much like the natural hoof wall.

Long-Lasting Bond

Equilox forms a strong, resilient bond to a correctly prepared hoof. According to the manufacturer, it may remain bonded for up to eight weeks or longer, depending on hoof growth, preparation, application, environment and the individual horse. As the hoof grows, the material grows down with the wall and can be trimmed away at later appointments.

Ideal for Glue-On Aluminium Shoes

Equilox contains an etching agent specifically designed for glue-on aluminium shoe applications, assisting preparation and bonding of compatible aluminium footwear.

Managing Cure Time

According to the manufacturer, Equilox cures more quickly when the hoof is wrapped (reducing exposure to oxygen) or when heat is applied. For a longer working time, refrigerating the product before use can slow curing.
