Equilox Stubbie 150ml
Equilox Stubbie 150ml
Equilox I Stubbie Cartridge – 150mL
Professional hoof repair and adhesive system in a convenient 150mL cartridge – ideal for smaller jobs while helping minimise product waste.
The Equilox I Stubbie Cartridge provides the proven performance of Equilox in a compact 150mL size, making it an excellent choice for smaller hoof repairs and applications where a full-size cartridge isn't required.
Once cured, Equilox remains workable and can be rasped, filed, nailed and trimmed, allowing the farrier to shape and finish the material in a similar manner to the natural hoof wall.
Its combination of strength, resilience and workability makes it a versatile product for professional hoof reconstruction, repair and glue-on shoeing applications.
Ideal for Smaller Jobs
The compact 150mL Stubbie cartridge is particularly useful when only a limited amount of adhesive is required.
Using a smaller cartridge can help reduce unnecessary product waste, making it a practical addition to the professional farrier's kit.
Strong Yet Workable
Once fully cured, Equilox provides excellent tensile strength while retaining enough flexibility to be filed and shaped.
The cured material can be:
- Rasped
- Filed
- Trimmed
- Nailed
This allows the farrier to shape and finish the repair according to the individual hoof and shoeing application.
Long-Lasting Bond
Equilox is designed to form a strong, resilient bond to a correctly prepared hoof.
According to the manufacturer, it may remain bonded to the hoof for up to eight weeks or longer, depending on hoof growth, preparation, application, environment and the individual horse.
As the hoof grows, the cured Equilox material grows down with the hoof wall and can be trimmed away as required during subsequent hoof-care appointments.
Ideal for Glue-On Aluminium Shoes
Equilox contains an etching agent specifically designed for glue-on aluminium shoe applications.
This assists with preparation and bonding of compatible aluminium footwear, helping create a secure attachment once the adhesive has fully cured.
Setting & Cure Time
At approximately 70°F / 21°C:
Initial Set: 6–8 minutes
Final Cure: 10–13 minutes
Environmental temperature and application conditions can influence working and curing times.
Managing Cure Time
According to the manufacturer, Equilox cures more quickly when:
- The hoof is wrapped, reducing exposure to oxygen
- Heat is applied
For applications where a longer working time is desired, refrigerating the product before use can slow the curing process.
Always follow the manufacturer's current storage and application instructions.
