iO Fenbender 100 Oral Drench
Ready-to-use broad-spectrum Fenbendazole oral worm drench for cattle and horses.
iO Fenbender 100 Oral Drench contains 100g/L Fenbendazole and is formulated for the control of susceptible internal parasites in cattle and horses.
In horses, Fenbender controls benzimidazole-sensitive large strongyles, small strongyles, ascarids and pinworms, while in cattle it controls susceptible mature and immature roundworms and lungworm.
Active Constituent
Fenbendazole – 100g/L
Fenbendazole belongs to the benzimidazole (BZ) class of anthelmintics.
Controls in Horses
iO Fenbender is indicated for the control of susceptible:
- Large strongyles
- Small strongyles
- Ascarids
- Pinworms
It also has a specific higher dose rate for the control of Strongyloides westeri in foals.
Because resistance to benzimidazole wormers can occur, particularly among small strongyles, parasite-control programs should take local resistance patterns and faecal egg count results into consideration.
Horse Dose & Administration
Standard horse dose:
10mg/kg Fenbendazole, equivalent to 5mL per 50kg bodyweight.
For example, using the supplied standard dose rate:
- 100kg horse – 10mL
- 200kg horse – 20mL
- 300kg horse – 30mL
- 400kg horse – 40mL
- 500kg horse – 50mL
- 600kg horse – 60mL
For control of Strongyloides westeri in foals:
50mg/kg Fenbendazole, equivalent to 5mL per 10kg bodyweight.
Fenbender 100 Oral Drench may be administered to horses by:
- Dosage syringe
- Drenching gun
- Nasogastric tube
Nasogastric administration should only be performed by a veterinarian or appropriately trained professional.

Strategic Worm Control
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole wormer, and resistance to this class is known to occur in equine parasite populations.
For horses, effective parasite management should incorporate faecal egg count (FEC) testing, accurate bodyweight-based dosing, monitoring treatment effectiveness and appropriate pasture management rather than relying solely on routine treatment or automatic rotation between worming products.
Important Information
For animal treatment only.
Accurately determine bodyweight and administer the correct dose according to the registered product label. Underdosing can reduce treatment effectiveness and contribute to the development of anthelmintic resistance.
Always consult the current product label for complete parasite claims, contraindications, withholding periods and safety information before use.
iO Fenbender 100 Oral Drench provides a convenient Fenbendazole-based option for controlling susceptible internal parasites in horses and cattle as part of a strategic parasite-management program.
