Compound Sodium Lactate, also known as a buffered lactate solution, is an isotonic crystalloid fluid formulated to help replace body fluids and essential mineral salts that have been lost.
As an isotonic solution, it is designed to have a similar effective concentration to body fluids and may be used as part of veterinary fluid therapy where replacement of fluids and electrolytes is clinically indicated.
