Buffered Crystalloid Fluid Solution

Hartmann's Drip (Compound Sodium Lactate) is a buffered, isotonic crystalloid fluid formulated to help replace lost body fluids and essential mineral salts.

Designed for veterinary fluid therapy where replacement of fluids and electrolytes is clinically indicated. As an isotonic solution, it has a similar effective concentration to body fluids.

Supplied in 1 L and 5 L bags.

Essential Clinical Fluid

Hartmann's solution is a trusted buffered crystalloid for veterinary rehydration and electrolyte replacement.

Animals showing significant dehydration, weakness, collapse, persistent diarrhoea or colic require prompt veterinary assessment. Intravenous fluids should only be given as directed by a veterinarian or by an experienced person using sterile equipment and aseptic technique. Inappropriate fluid type, volume or rate can cause serious complications, particularly in animals with cardiac, renal or electrolyte abnormalities. Do not use if the solution is cloudy, discoloured, contains particles or the container or seal is damaged. Check withholding periods and, for racing or competition horses, confirm detection times and rules with your veterinarian. Always read the label before use. Keep out of reach of children.
