Hexacon Antiseptic / Disinfectant Concentrate is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial solution containing 5% w/v chlorhexidine gluconate for the rapid and prolonged removal of bacteria from hands, skin and surfaces.

Designed for use in veterinary clinics, hospitals and animal care facilities, it provides effective disinfection and antisepsis in a range of settings.

Supplied as a concentrate for dilution.

Directions

• General antisepsis: Dilute 20 mL of Hexacon in 1 litre of clean water to produce a 0.1% w/v aqueous solution. Use the solution within one month.
• Preoperative skin preparation, instrument and surface disinfection: Dilute 10 mL of Hexacon in 15 mL of water, then make up to 100 mL with industrial methylated spirits to produce a 0.5% w/v solution in 70% w/v alcohol. Use the prepared solution within 12 months.
