Iron Mountain Welding Flux is a forge welding flux made by Iron Mountain Blacksmith Products LLC, ideal for forge welding in gas, coke or coal forges.

Designed for farriers and blacksmiths forge welding steel.

Contains

• Disodium tetraborate (Na2B4O7)
• Pure iron powder (Fe)

Ideal For

• Gas forges
• Coke forges
• Coal forges

Directions

1. Shake thoroughly before use.
2. Scarf the joint to be welded and brush to remove scale.
3. Apply flux with the metal at red heat. Flux should stick on the surface and turn transparent.
4. Return the metal to the fire and wait until the fluxed surface looks wet or glossy, with bubbles forming on the surface adjacent to the weld.
5. Remove from the fire and hammer weld with successively heavier hammer blows.

Keep dry and the cap tight when not in use.
