This European standard-type copper-coated horseshoe nail has a longer and thinner shank, compared to the regular E nail. This makes it very easy to nail higher without damaging the hoof wall, especially if the hoof wall is thinner. The smaller sizes are also suitable for use in aluminium or steel race plates.
