Staysound Max RBC
Staysound Max RBC
Max RBC
A comprehensive nutritional supplement combining B-group vitamins, iron, zinc, copper and L-Lysine to support healthy red blood cell production, energy metabolism and overall wellbeing in horses.
Max RBC provides a balanced combination of nutrients involved in normal blood formation, cellular function and energy metabolism.
The formula supplies a full range of B-group vitamins, including Vitamin B12, together with the important trace minerals iron, zinc and copper. It also contains L-Lysine, an essential amino acid that must be supplied through the horse's diet.
Supports Healthy Red Blood Cell Production
Several nutrients contained in Max RBC play important roles in the normal formation and maintenance of red blood cells.
Healthy red blood cells are responsible for transporting oxygen around the body, including to working muscles during exercise.
Max RBC provides nutritional support through:
- Iron – required for normal haemoglobin production
- Vitamin B12 – involved in normal red blood cell formation and cellular function
- Copper – contributes to normal iron metabolism
- B-group vitamins – support normal cellular and energy metabolism
Max RBC is particularly relevant where dietary assessment indicates these nutrients may be inadequate.
Complete B-Group Vitamin Support
The B-group vitamins perform numerous roles throughout the body and are involved in processes including:
- Normal energy metabolism
- Cell growth and function
- DNA and RNA synthesis
- Enzyme activity
- Normal nervous system function
- Red blood cell formation
Requirements may be influenced by diet, workload and individual circumstances.
Added Iron, Zinc & Copper
Max RBC combines its B-vitamin profile with a balanced range of iron, zinc and copper.
These trace minerals contribute to normal physiological functions including blood formation, enzyme activity, tissue maintenance and general health.
L-Lysine
The addition of L-Lysine provides an essential amino acid that horses cannot manufacture themselves and therefore must obtain through their diet.
Lysine is particularly important for protein synthesis, muscle maintenance, growth and tissue repair and can be a limiting amino acid in some equine diets.
Ideal For
Max RBC may be useful as part of a balanced feeding program for:
- Performance and working horses
- Horses with increased nutritional demands
- Horses consuming diets deficient in key nutrients
- Horses requiring additional B-group vitamin support
- Horses requiring additional trace mineral and amino acid supplementation

Important Information
Max RBC should be used to support an appropriately balanced diet rather than as a substitute for one.
Iron supplementation should not automatically be used to increase red blood cell counts or improve performance in otherwise healthy horses. True iron deficiency in adult horses is relatively uncommon, and excessive supplementation can create unnecessary dietary mineral imbalances.
Horses showing persistent fatigue, poor performance, pale mucous membranes or suspected anaemia should be assessed by a veterinarian. Blood testing can help determine whether a genuine deficiency or underlying health problem is present.
When combining Max RBC with fortified feeds or other vitamin and mineral supplements, consider the horse's total dietary intake of iron, copper and zinc to avoid unnecessary over-supplementation.
