Poseidon MetaboLize
MetaboLize – Metabolic Support for Horses
Targeted nutritional support for healthy glucose metabolism, metabolic function and digestive health.
MetaboLize is a concentrated powdered feed supplement formulated to nutritionally support horses requiring additional assistance with normal glucose and carbohydrate metabolism.
The formula combines three plant-derived flavonoids – chlorogenic acid, myricetin and quercetin – with Saccharomyces cerevisiae-derived prebiotic and postbiotic ingredients for additional digestive and gut support.
MetaboLize may be particularly useful as part of a carefully managed feeding program for horses and ponies that are easy keepers, overweight, prone to developing a cresty neck or requiring controlled sugar and starch intake.

Triple Flavonoid Formula
MetaboLize contains a proprietary combination of three flavonoids selected to provide nutritional support for normal metabolic processes.
Chlorogenic Acid – sourced from Eucalyptus globulus.
Myricetin – sourced from Vine Tea.
Quercetin – sourced from Sophora japonica.
Flavonoids are naturally occurring plant compounds with antioxidant properties and are widely studied for their roles in cellular and metabolic health.
Digestive & Gut Support
In addition to its plant-derived flavonoids, MetaboLize contains prebiotic and postbiotic ingredients derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
These ingredients provide additional nutritional support for the digestive environment, complementing the product's metabolic formulation.
Supporting Horses on Controlled Diets
Some horses and ponies require particularly careful management of body condition, pasture intake and dietary sugar and starch.
MetaboLize is designed to complement – rather than replace – an appropriate feeding and management program.
For horses requiring metabolic management, this may include:
- Selecting appropriately low-sugar and low-starch feeds
- Testing or carefully selecting forage where necessary
- Managing access to pasture
- Maintaining an appropriate body condition
- Providing suitable exercise where medically appropriate
- Regularly monitoring weight and body condition
- Working with a veterinarian or equine nutritionist where metabolic disease is suspected

Important Information
MetaboLize is a nutritional supplement and is not insulin or a substitute for insulin or veterinary treatment.
Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS), Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction (PPID/Cushing's disease) and laminitis are serious veterinary conditions. A supplement should not be relied upon to diagnose, treat or control these conditions without appropriate veterinary management.
A cresty neck, abnormal fat deposits, unexplained weight gain or difficulty losing weight can be associated with metabolic dysfunction and should be discussed with your veterinarian.
Laminitis requires prompt veterinary attention. Horses showing signs such as hoof pain, reluctance to move, increased digital pulses, shifting weight or an abnormal stance should be assessed by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
For horses with diagnosed or suspected metabolic problems, MetaboLize should be used as part of a broader program incorporating appropriate veterinary care, diet, forage and pasture management, weight control and exercise where suitable.
