NRG Apple Cider Vinegar is a naturally fermented, unpasteurised and unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar with the naturally occurring “Mother” – a versatile addition to the daily feeding and grooming routine.

Designed for horses and, according to manufacturer directions, other animals and birds, NRG ACV is produced using traditional natural fermentation methods and has an acidity level of approximately 4.5–5%. It is a versatile and economical product popular with horse owners and stables throughout Australia.

Unpasteurised, Unfiltered & Naturally Fermented

Unlike highly processed vinegars, NRG Apple Cider Vinegar is not pasteurised or filtered, so the naturally occurring “Mother” remains present, giving genuine ACV its characteristic cloudy appearance. Settling or cloudiness is completely normal and is not an indication that the product has spoiled.

Daily Nutritional Support

Apple Cider Vinegar has a long history of traditional use in animal feeding and management, and has traditionally been incorporated into feeding programs to support general digestive health, appetite and overall wellbeing. It can be added to the horse's daily feed or drinking water as part of a balanced feeding program, and should complement rather than replace a correctly balanced diet.

While ACV is sometimes promoted for altering the body's acid/alkaline balance, a healthy horse tightly regulates its blood pH. ACV should therefore be considered a supplementary feed ingredient rather than a method of changing systemic pH.

Diluted Apple Cider Vinegar is traditionally used by horse owners as an economical coat and skin rinse. When appropriately diluted, it may be incorporated into grooming routines to help cleanse and condition the coat.

Avoid applying concentrated vinegar to open wounds, damaged or highly irritated skin, and discontinue use if irritation develops. Skin conditions suspected to be fungal, bacterial or parasitic should be correctly diagnosed and treated rather than relying on ACV as an alternative to veterinary treatment.

Directions

The manufacturer suggests approximately 50 mL per horse daily, added to drinking water or mixed through the feed. Introduce new feed supplements gradually and follow the current manufacturer's feeding directions.

If adding ACV to drinking water, horses should also have access to plain, fresh drinking water so the taste does not discourage adequate water intake.

Important Information

Apple Cider Vinegar is not an antibiotic or registered treatment for arthritis, fungal infections, digestive disease or other medical conditions. Claims that it prevents arthritis, significantly improves joint disease, “oxygenates the blood” or changes systemic body pH should not be relied upon as established therapeutic effects.
