Injectable L-Carnitine & Amino Acid Supplement

NV Mitachondral Injectable combines a high concentration of L-carnitine with the amino acids D-phenylalanine and L-isoleucine to support muscle energy, endurance and performance in horses and dogs.

Designed for animals in demanding training, racing and competition programs, Mitachondral may also be used following regular L-carnitine supplementation, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Supplied in a 100 mL vial for intramuscular injection.

L-Carnitine & Muscle Energy

L-carnitine plays an important role in energy metabolism in heart and skeletal muscle. It transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are used to produce cellular energy – particularly relevant during prolonged exercise, when fat contributes significantly to the energy needs of working muscle.

D-Phenylalanine & L-Isoleucine

• D-phenylalanine – an amino acid associated with pathways involving naturally occurring opioid peptides
• L-isoleucine – an essential branched-chain amino acid involved in protein metabolism and normal muscle function

Directions

• Horses: 15–25 mL
• Dogs: 2–5 mL

Administer by intramuscular injection twice weekly, or as recommended by a veterinary surgeon. Use the contents within 6 months of first broaching and discard any unused portion after this period.

Pain, recurrent cramping, tying-up, stiffness or unexplained fatigue may indicate an underlying condition requiring veterinary investigation, and products should never be used to mask pain so an animal can keep exercising. Injections should only be given as directed by a veterinarian or by an experienced person using sterile equipment. Check the label for withholding periods, and for racing or competition horses confirm detection times with your veterinarian. Do not use in animals with known sensitivity to any ingredient. Always read the label before use and consult your veterinarian or the manufacturer if your horse or dog is unwell, pregnant or on other treatment. Keep out of reach of children.
