Peptosyl Suspension is a non-antibiotic oral liquid formulated for the treatment of diarrhoea and gastrointestinal disturbances in horses and dogs.

Containing Bismuth Subsalicylate 17.5mg/mL, Peptosyl is designed for use when gastrointestinal upset occurs, particularly where disturbances may be associated with dietary or non-infectious causes.

Peptosyl has no application in the routine training of normal, healthy animals and should be used specifically where gastrointestinal disturbance is present.

Peptosyl should not be used to delay veterinary assessment of a potentially serious gastrointestinal condition.

If a rapid improvement is not seen, veterinary advice should be sought without delay to determine the underlying cause.

Diarrhoea can result in significant fluid and electrolyte losses, particularly when severe or prolonged. Seek prompt veterinary attention for persistent or profuse diarrhoea, dehydration, fever, significant abdominal pain, blood in the manure, marked lethargy or deterioration in the animal's condition.
