Paraffin Oil
Paraffin Oil
Mineral Oil Digestive Lubricant
Vetsense Paraffin Oil is a mineral oil most commonly used in horses to help with digestive problems.
Designed to act as a gut lubricant, helping manure and sand pass more easily through the digestive tract.
How It Works
Paraffin oil is not absorbed by animal cells or tissue, so it acts as a lubricant, allowing manure and sand to be more easily excreted.
Composition
Active constituent: liquid paraffin oil, a mineral oil produced as a by-product of petroleum distillation. It is a transparent, colourless, odourless and tasteless oil, mainly composed of heavier alkanes. It is not soluble in water and has low reactivity.
