Proud-AID for Horses

Proud-AID for Horses

Proud-Aid – Proud Flesh Treatment

Topical wound treatment formulated to assist in the treatment and prevention of excessive granulation tissue, commonly known as proud flesh, in horses.

Proud-Aid is a smooth-textured topical paste designed for use on cuts, wounds and abrasions where proud flesh has developed or may be a concern.

The non-irritant formulation adheres directly to the wound, making application simple and convenient. Proud-Aid can be used alone or beneath a suitable non-stick dressing and bandage as part of your horse's wound-care routine.

What is Proud Flesh?

Proud flesh is the common name for excessive granulation tissue that can develop during wound healing in horses.

It is particularly common in wounds on the lower limbs and can interfere with normal wound closure when excessive tissue grows beyond the level of the surrounding skin.
