Psyllium Sand Clearance Supplement

Stance SandBuster is designed for horses exposed to dry or sandy conditions, where sand may have accumulated in the hindgut.

Its ingredients are selected for their action in increasing rate of passage, becoming gelatinous and supporting intestinal mucosa repair, helping clear sand in the faeces.

A proprietary blend of psyllium husk, CoolStance and montmorillonite.

Why Sand Accumulates

Horses graze close to the ground, and on sandy soils or in sandy yards and stalls they can take in sand. Usually this is not an issue, but because sand is heavy it can accumulate in the hindgut and cause blockage and abdominal pain. Clearance depends on the rate of passage of digesta, so accumulation worsens when passage is slow. Dry conditions and sparse pasture increase the risk, as does feeding hay on the ground – a natural way to eat, but horses often pick up sand with the last of the hay.

Feeding Rate

Feed 1 x 125 g (1 cup) once daily for 8 days, once a month or as required. Based on a 500 kg horse.
