Spectrum Gold is an emulsified liquid supplement combining natural oils with a proprietary blend of liquid seaweed, vitamins and minerals in an alkaline product.

Designed for performance horses, horses without consistent access to fresh grass, and breeding mares and young stock, it provides omega 3 in the correct ratio to omega 6 and 9, together with vitamins A and E and over 79 minerals and trace elements from seaweed.

The Power of Seaweed

Seaweed has one of the highest mineral contents of any plant, containing over 79 minerals and trace elements including manganese, potassium, iron and zinc, which support growth and development, immune function, reproduction and general health. The main role of trace elements is the formation of enzymes, which act as catalysts for biochemical reactions. Seaweed also contains phytochemicals and osmoregulatory compounds that help stimulate the gut bacteria that aid digestion and nutrient absorption.

Omega 3 Oils

Horses without consistent access to fresh grass can be low in omega 3. Omega 3 is a broadly functioning essential lipid that plays a role in:

Vitamin A – supports the immune system through its role in the innate and adaptive immune response to infection, and regulates gene expression during cell differentiation, making it very important in reproduction and embryo development. It is also a strong antioxidant that helps reduce free radical cell damage.
