Bronchial Mucolytic Powder

Sputolysin is a bronchial mucolytic agent containing dembrexine to aid in the treatment of respiratory disease in horses.

Designed for respiratory infections with increased secretions, acute and subacute bronchitis, chronic respiratory disease with mucus, upper airway infection and foal pneumonia.

Supplied as a 420 g powder given in feed, with a 5 g measuring scoop.

Directions

Twice daily administration of 0.3 mg active ingredient per kg bodyweight.

• Adult horses (500 kg): 30 g powder twice daily in food
• Small horses, ponies and foals: 10 g powder per 170 kg bodyweight twice daily

Treatment should continue for at least 7–14 days. In chronic cases, treatment should be extended to at least 3 weeks.

Please note: 1 tub will last an adult horse 7 days. 2 tubs are normally required for the treatment of an adult horse.

Bacterial infections must be accompanied by an appropriate antibiotic or antibacterial prescribed by a veterinary surgeon. Always read the label before use and consult your veterinarian if your horse is unwell, pregnant or on other treatment. Keep out of reach of children.
