Zilco Stainless Steel Safety Irons are traditional Australian safety stirrups designed to help release the rider's foot more easily in the event of a fall.

Designed for riders across a range of riding disciplines, these stirrups – often called Safety Irons or Australian Safety Irons – feature a pronounced outer loop to reduce the risk of the rider's foot becoming caught in the stirrup.

Fit & Care

The pronounced loop should face forward and sit on the outside of the rider's foot. To determine the correct size, place the ball of the foot on the stirrup tread close to the inside edge – there should be approximately 25 mm (1") clearance between the outside of the boot and the stirrup.
