Lightweight Safety Race Irons

STS Race Irons are an Australian-designed race stirrup with a strong foot grip, an extended and elevated platform, and an angled foot support that helps keep your feet secure and your heels down through the race.

Designed for jockeys and track riders who want secure, supportive footing without added weight. The patented angled and post design helps stop the foot slipping forward in the iron, so riders can concentrate on riding rather than repositioning their feet.

An optional attachable, adjustable safety strap can be fitted to help prevent the foot moving forward during the race, reducing the risk of the boot becoming hooked up in the iron and the rider being dragged in a fall.

Fitting and Use

Fit to your race leathers as you would a standard race iron and check the iron sits level with the tread facing up. If using the optional safety strap, adjust it so it holds the foot in position without restricting release. Inspect irons, leathers and straps before every ride and replace any worn or damaged components.
