What Are BCAAs?

Branched chain amino acids are a group of three essential amino acids – Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. They cannot be synthesised in sufficient quantities by the body, so must be obtained through the diet. BCAAs are particularly important for muscle protein metabolism and play a role in maintaining, repairing and rebuilding muscle tissue.
