Equimax Horse Oral Wormer Paste combines two active ingredients – Abamectin and Praziquantel – to provide comprehensive parasite control in a convenient, easy-to-administer oral paste.

Effective against a broad range of important equine parasites, Equimax treats large and small strongyles, tapeworms, bots, ascarids, pinworms, hairworms, stomach worms, lungworms and threadworms, including certain resistant strains as specified on the product label.

Each 35mL syringe treats a horse weighing up to 700kg.

Active Ingredients

Each gram contains:

• Abamectin – 3.7mg/g
• Praziquantel – 46.2mg/g

The combination provides broad-spectrum activity, with Praziquantel providing targeted tapeworm control.

Dosage

Administer orally at:

1mL per 20kg bodyweight

or

5mL per 100kg bodyweight

Accurate bodyweight estimation is important to ensure the correct dose is administered.

Strategic Worm Control

Equimax can be incorporated into an appropriate parasite-management program based on the individual horse, property and parasite risk.

Rather than routinely rotating wormers without evidence of need, modern parasite management should include accurate dosing, pasture management and faecal egg count testing where appropriate. This can help identify horses requiring treatment and assist in monitoring for anthelmintic resistance.
