Medical Hoof Boot

The Woof Wear Medical Boot is a unique, close-fitting hoof boot designed to keep wounds, poultices and dressings clean while reducing the amount of bandage needed.

Designed for use in the stable, and on sensible horses in the paddock, it can assist with foot ailments such as abscesses, corns and bruised soles. Made from flexible, light materials for easy fitting, it is a cost-effective alternative to adhesive bandage and tape.

It may be used with or without a shoe and on any foot (there is no left or right), although a different size may be needed for the hind feet.

Close Fit Design

A grooved sole provides extra grip and a Kevlar® interior adds durability. An asymmetric zip gives the boot a really close fit and prevents it opening, stopping bedding and other debris getting inside.

Fit & Care

• The boot MUST be a very firm fit – like a wetsuit. It will almost certainly suffer damage if fitted too big.
• Expect the boot to last 2–3 weeks under normal circumstances, with many customers finding it lasts much longer.
• The boot is not indestructible and is not guaranteed against breakage caused by the horse standing on it.
• Exuberant horses and those coming off stable rest may damage the boot by standing on it or doing racing stops. In these situations consider fitting an overreach boot over the medical boot, or using a traditional poultice for the first day turned out.
• Machine washable at 30 degrees.
• Not designed as a riding boot.
